Will my tipi be set up for me?
Yes, the tipis will be ready for you to move into when you arrive at the venue. For festival hire, just check in at our reception and you will be shown to your tipi.
Are tipis waterproof?
Well, as we have explained, tipis are liable to allow some water in especially during heavy rain, due to their design. We aim to minimise this by wrapping the smoke flaps around and, when required, rain catchers may be fitted. Generally a few drops of water are part of the experience of staying in a tipi!
Is cooking allowed inside the tipi?
On some of our campsites cooking inside the tipi is allowed, if exercised with care, but at festivals no fires are allowed inside or outside the tipis. The use of disposable barbeques is sometimes allowed in a designated area.
Is there a power supply in the tipis?
No, we do not have a power supply in the tipi, for safety reasons, so it is a good idea to bring a torch, even though we do supply lanterns or led lights in the furnished options.
If I book several tipis for family/friends is it possible to have them placed adjacent to each other?
If requested at the time of booking we are happy to ensure that your tipis will be close together (or far apart if you wish!).
Do I need to bring bedding?
Unless you have ordered a bedding package from us, you will need to bring your own bedding.
Are there any phone charging facilities?
Not in the individual tipis, but if we have a power supply at our reception, you are welcome to charge your phone there free of charge, but it is your responsibility at all times.
If we decide we need extra bedding/furnishings after our arrival at the event can we order some?
Yes, if we have them available we will do our best to provide you with extras, charged at the appropriate rate.
Can I hire furnishings separately for other events?
We do have a furnishings hire service. Please enquire by contacting us.
Do you cater for disabled customers?
We are happy to try to accommodate, but the nature of the areas in which the tipis are erected is often rather uneven for wheelchair access, however, some of our tipis have the door opening designed in such a way to allow wheelchair access.
